Gabil Guliyev

Gabil Guliyev was born in the village of Tahirli, Jalilabad district.
He studied at the Baku Oil Industry School (1966-1968), the Drama and Film Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1968-1972, class of Aliheydar Alakbarov and Rza Tahmasib).
During his student years, he worked at the Academic State Drama Theater, first as a stage designer, and then as a supporting actor. In 1972, he went to military service and served at the militarized film base of the Mosfilm film studio in Moscow, participated in the filming of mass scenes, and mastered the secrets of stuntmanship. Since 1973, he has been working at the Lankaran State Drama Theater. He taught ethics, aesthetics, and culturology at Lankaran State University for 12 years.
He was awarded the "Sharaf" prize of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan (2009). Honored Artist (1979), People's Artist (2000).
Actor Gabil Guliyev is the brother of actor Nureddin Mehdikhanli.
