Firangiz Babayeva

Firangiz Babayeva was born in Khudat.
She studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1982-1986).
During her studies, she created such characters as Polina (“Tribunal”, A. Makayonok), Electra (“Electra”, Sophocles), Kruchinina (“Innocents”, A. Ostrovsky), Knyaginiya (“Two Brothers”, M. Lermontov) on the stage of the Educational Theater. She worked at the Mingachevir State Drama Theater (1986-1990), Sumgayit State Musical Drama Theater (1990-1999). Since 1999, she has been an actress of the Baku Municipal Theater.
She starred in the role of the shepherd's wife Lili in the film “Absurdistan” (2008, directed by Veit Helmer) by German film producers.
She was awarded the “Artist” medal of the Union of Theater Workers (2017).
She is an Honored Artist (2002).
Actress Firangiz Babayeva is the mother of actress Vafa Zulfugar.
