Faig Zohrabov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Directing Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1963-1968).
He began his career as a dancer at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater (1957-1960). After graduating from the institute, he continued his work as a teacher at the Department of Acting (1968-1985). He was the director of the Baku Pioneer and Schoolchildren Park (1965-1972), the Actor's House (1972-1975), the Travelers and Excursion Bureau (1975-1977). He worked as the chief director at the Dagestan State Lezgi Musical Drama Theater (1985-1988). Since 1988, he has been the director of the Educational Theater and an associate professor of the Musical Theater Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Arts, and later the head of the department. Since 1999, he has continued his work as a production director at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater.
Faig Zohrabov died in 2009.
Theater director and actor Faig Zohrabov is the father of singer and actress Nargiz Karimova.
