Anar Burjaliyev

Anar Burjaliyev (Anar Ertughrul Burjaliyev) was born in Ganja.

He studied at the Faculty of Theater Studies of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1991-1996). He began his career in 1990 as an assistant director at the Ganja State Drama Theater. He worked as a special correspondent for the "Sehne" newspaper published in Baku (1993-1994), a special correspondent for the "Ganjlik" and "Xablar" editorial offices of the Azerbaijan Teleradio Broadcasting Company (1994-1996), one of the founders of the Kapaz TV Independent Teleradio Company, head of the "Xablar" department (1995), leading inspector of the Main Department of Arts of the Ministry of Culture (1996-1997), managing director of the Ganja State Drama Theater (1997-1999), and a presenter on Kapaz TV (2010-2012). He has been working at the Ganja State Drama Theater since 2016.

He currently serves as the head of the literary department of the Ganja State Drama Theater.

As a theater critic, he is the author of more than 400 articles, reviews, essays and interviews in the press.

Theater critic and critic Anar Burjaliyev is the son of actor Mammad Burjaliyev and actress Sedaya Mustafayeva.
