Addis Hajiyev (Hadis Hajiyev) was born in Baku.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State Art School (1979-1983) and the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, specializing in film painting (1991).

His first work - a drawing called "Lion", which he drew at the age of 4, was published in the magazine "Dove" in 1968. He has been working in Moscow since 1991. He has been an artist for many films, plays, TV shows, commercials and music videos. His first solo exhibition was opened in Moscow in 1991. He is the curator of the "Constructive Artist" program at the Moscow Higher Film School under the British Higher School of Art and Design. He has an online cooking show "Delicious Meetings with Addis".

He is an artist of the films “Letters from a Past Life” (1994, director Alexander Aravin / Russia), “Simple Plan” (1994, director Yevgeny Ginzburg / Russia), “Home” (1995, director Leonid Kvinikhidze / Russia), “The President and His Woman” (1996, director Elena Rayskaya / Russia), “Hypnosis” (2001, director Grigory Konstantinopolsky / Russia), “Summer Rain” (2002, director Alexander Atanesyan / Russia), “Bad Colleague” (2005, director James D. Deck / Russia, USA), “Kidnapping” (2007, director Roland Joffe / USA) made by foreign film producers, and he plays the role of Vladlen in the film “Love Does Not Come Alone” (2011, director Svetlana Muzychenko / Russia).

Since 2007, he has been working as a director in television commercials and music videos.

Member of the Presidium of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia (since 2013), Vice-President of the Guild of Cinema and Television Artists (since 2017).
