THE FIRST FILM SHOOTED IN SHUSHA – “NATIVE LAND” PREMIERED

The presentation of “Native Land” at the Nizami Cinema House was remembered with a large audience. The filming of the film was carried out in various regions of Azerbaijan - Zagatala, Baku, and even in the territories of the historical Azerbaijani land of Derbent, as well as in the liberated city of Shusha. By the way, this film goes down in history as the first full-length feature film shot in Shusha.
The main roles in the film were played by Rustam Jabrayilov and actress Alina Vorontsova, invited from Russia. Along with them, People's Artists of Azerbaijan Haji Ismayilov, Mabud Maharramov, well-known actors Orkhan Abbasov, Azer Aydamir, Gorgud Jafarli, Rashad Safarov, Eldar Bagirbeyov, Ajdar Zeynalov, Yaroslav Trifonov, Amina Abbasova and others also starred in the film.
The cinematography of the film was entrusted to Konstantin Esadze, and the music composition was entrusted to Araz Humbatli. The sound director is Ivan Gusakov, and the producer is Nariman Mammadov. The film “Native Land” depicts the secret activities of the Dashnaks during the Soviet era, the expulsion of Azerbaijanis from our historical lands of the Qafan region, as well as tragedies such as the Khojaly genocide, and finally, the liberation of our lands as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War.
The screenplay was produced by the “Narimanfilm” film studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, private companies and Public Television.
The film will be shown in cinemas from April 24.
