"AZERBAIJANFILM" IS MAKING A FILM ABOUT ITS "RESIDENTS"
The Jafar Jabbarli “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio has started shooting a new documentary with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Film Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA). The film, called “Residents of the Film Studio,” is about the heritage of Azerbaijani cinema, unforgettable filmmakers who have left their mark on cinema but whose faces are not visible on the screen, who introduced it to the audience and made it beloved. According to the author of the project, Azer Guliyev, this time the heroes of the film are its creators: “That is, the main goal of the film is to introduce the audience to people who are not visible in cinema but have made a great contribution to its frame, to shed light on the invisible sides of art.”
The filming is taking place at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. The film “Residents of the Film Studio” will consist of artistic scenes, each frame of which is constructed separately.
The film’s director is Namig Aghayev, and the scriptwriter is Mahir Darvish. The executive producer is Tofig Musayev, the director of photography is Rufat Suleymanov, the cameraman is Ayaz Mikayilzade, the second director is Gulustan Aliyeva, the production designer is Rovshan Mehdiyev. The director is Leyla Tofiggizi, the composer is Jeyhun Aliyev, and the arrangement is by Chingiz Gasimov.
The presentation of the new screenplay is scheduled for the end of 2025.
