AZERBAIJAN PRODUCERS GUILD HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AS A MEMBER OF THE FEDERATION OF INTERNATIONAL FILM PRODUCERS ASSOCIATIONS
An important event has taken place for the Azerbaijani film industry. The Azerbaijan Producers Guild (APG) has been officially accepted as a full member of FIAPF (Federation of International Film Producers Associations), one of the most influential film organizations in the world. Membership will be officially active from January 1, 2026.
The accession of the Azerbaijan Producers Guild to FIAPF is a strategic step towards the international recognition and strengthening of the position of Azerbaijani cinema.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan Producers Guild Mushfig Hatamov: "Membership in FIAPF opens up wide opportunities for Azerbaijani producers to adapt their work to international standards and integrate them into the global film market. This is of historical importance in terms of both more reliable protection of producers' rights, and attracting foreign investments to local film projects, and increasing participation in international co-production projects. Azerbaijani cinema is now represented on the same platform as the world's leading film countries."
The Azerbaijan Producers Guild plans to strengthen its activities in the following areas using this new status:
• To achieve improvements in the field of international legislation related to author's, producer's rights and film production.
• To more actively promote Azerbaijani cinema to foreign producers, distributors and investors through the FIAPF network.
The Azerbaijan Producers Guild is a Public Association that unites leading film and television producers of Azerbaijan. The main goal of the organization is to protect the rights and interests of its members, support the development of the local audiovisual industry, and promote international cooperation in the audiovisual field.
