AZERBAIJAN FILM CRITICISTS AND FILM EXPERTS GUILD HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED
As in most fields, one of the main directions that ensures development and improvement in cinematography is analysis, scientific approach, drawing logical conclusions, identifying new trends and future directions. And it is up to film criticism and film studies to do this. Unfortunately, there are serious gaps in the creation of a scientific and theoretical basis for cinematography in Azerbaijan, in the field of criticism and analysis. In order to achieve a systematic solution to all these problems, film writers unite and announce the creation of the Azerbaijan Guild of Film Critics and Film Scholars.
On January 24 of this year, at a meeting held with the participation of ADMUI associate professor Nadir Badalov, film critics Aliya Dadashova, Aygun Aslanli, Nazrin Mahu, Ilgar Guliyev, Ulvi Mehdi, Haji Safarov, film critics Togrul Abbasov, Shahla Amirli, Sevinj Elsever, editor of the kinoinfo.az website Ramil Alekperov, and secretaries of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan Oleg Safaraliyev and Ali Isa Jabbarov, Nadir Badalov was elected chairman of the Azerbaijan Guild of Film Critics and Film Critics, and film critics Haji Safarov and Aygun Aslanli were elected deputies.
