Zekiyye Mahmudova was born in the Balakhani settlement of Baku.
She studied at the Baku Art School named after Azim Azimzadeh (1966-1970).
Since 1970, she has been working in the animated films department of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. Later, she worked as a costume designer and costume master in films.
She is an Honored Worker of Culture (2019).
