Yusif Guliyev was born in Baku.
He studied at the Faculty of Television and Film Directing of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (1992-1997).
He was awarded various international awards for his documentary film “Kechid” and the “Best Young Director of the Year” award of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism (2005).
He has been working on Azerbaijani television since 2006.
He is engaged in pedagogical activities at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
