Yasaman Malik (Yasaman Mammadova) was born in Masalli.

She studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1984).

She worked as an actress at the Ganja State Drama Theater (1984), Sumgayit State Drama Theater (1985-2007), Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater (2002-2005), Sheki State Drama Theater (2008-2009), Azerbaijan State Youth Theater (2009). Since 2009, she has been an actress at the Azerbaijan State Young Spectator Theater.

Actress Yasaman Malik is the mother of actress Jahan Azer.
