Telman Aliyev was born in Ganja.

He studied at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1982).

He worked at the Ganja State Drama Theater, and since 2000 at the Academic National Drama Theater.

He starred in the Iranian film "Dreams" (2005, directed by Rahbar Ganbari).

Honored Artist (1989) Telman Aliyev died in 2017.
