Sevda Sultanova was born in Baku.
She studied at the Baku Institute of Social Management and Political Science (1996).
She has been engaged in film criticism since the 2000s. She is the author of the book “Screened Literary Works” (2019), “A Brief History of Azerbaijani Post-Soviet Cinema”, “The Image of a Woman in Azerbaijani Cinema”, etc. studies, and articles about screen art on cultural portals. She is a participant in various cultural projects.
She was awarded the “For Commitment to Artistic Ideals” award (2020) by the Union of Filmmakers of Azerbaijan.
