Sevda Orujova was born in Ganja.
She studied at the Drama and Film Actor Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1982-1986).
While studying in high school, she joined the drama club under the leadership of Alijan Azizov at the Weavers' Palace of Culture in Ganja. She is an actress of the Ganja State Drama Theater.
She is an Honored Artist (2017),
