Rauf Kazimovski was born in Baku.
He studied at the Directing Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1952).
He began his career as an editor and director in the literature editorial office of the Azerbaijan Radio. The radio plays he prepared are kept in the radio's golden fund. He was known as a director of large-scale performances on television. He also directed plays at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater (1961-1962).
Rauf Kazimovski died in 1976.
Director Rauf Kazimovski is the son of actor Mirmahmud Kazimovski.
