Rafael Dadashov was born in Zagatala.
He studied at the Faculty of Cultural and Educational Work of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1966-1972).
Starting his career in 1967, he worked in various positions at the Baku State Circus, the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the All-Union Circus. He was an instructor at the House of Folk Creativity in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and also worked in its Television and Radio Committee (1974-1976). From 1976 until the end of his life, he worked at the Academic National Drama Theater.
He starred in the films “Freedom is a Sweet Word” (1972, directed by Vytautas Zhalakiavichyus / Russia-Lithuania), “The Interviewed Man” (1986, directed by Yuri Marukhin / Belarus), and the TV series “Drongo” (2002, directed by Zinoviy Royzman / Russia) by foreign film producers.
Honored Artist (1987), People's Artist (2006), laureate of the Order of Glory (2019) Rafael Dadashov passed away in 2020.
Actor Rafael Dadashov is the son of actor Melik Dadashov and actress Sofia Huseynova.
