Parviz Guliyev was born in Baku.

He studied at the Azim Azimzade Art School.

After graduating from secondary school, he began his career as an artist at a pottery factory. He worked as a laboratory assistant, photo artist, master photographer (1960-1967), and head of the photo shop (1967-2012) at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio.

He is an Honored Worker of Culture (2008).
