Orkhan Aliyev (Orkhan Behbid) was born in the village of Yaglivand, Fuzuli region. In 1993, he settled in Ismayilli region as an IDP. He studied at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (2008-2012), and at the MBA program of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, where he received a master's degree in finance (2013-2015).

In 2011, he was one of the winners of the SOCAR scholarship program and worked as an Economist at the “Azerigas” PU as part of the paid internship program. He successfully completed the training on accounting organization at the SME organized by the Financial Science and Education Center under the Ministry of Finance and received a Certificate (2018). 

Since 2013, he has worked as a financial manager and executive producer in cinema. He worked as Deputy Director at the “Azanfilm” animation studio (2019-2022), Head of the Finance Department at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio (2022-2023).

He was the winner of the “Söz” literary project within the framework of the II International Festival “Nasimi - Poetry, Art and Spirituality” (2019). The short animation project “The Rope” was awarded the “Special Selection of the International Jury for Script” award at the III ANIMAFILM International Animation Festival (2020).

Since 2023, he has been the head of the department of the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He is the founder and director of “OB FILM” LLC.

Producer Orkhan Aliyev is the brother of director, screenwriter Elshad Arshadoghlu and financial manager Jamal Aliyev.
