Niyaz Gasimov (Niyaz Ilyasoglu) was born in Baku.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art, majoring in International Cultural Relations.

He worked as a folk theater director at the Badamdar settlement House of Culture (2008-2009), at the Young Spectators Theater.

Since 2010, he has been an actor at the Baku Children's Theater.

He won the literary recitation competition and received the "Best Actor" award at the Folk Theater Competition (2008).

Actor Niyaz Gasimov is the husband of actress Konul Shahbazova.
