Nijat Khalilov was born in Baku.

He studied directing at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art and the Cinema Atelier "VARAN" (France).

He worked as a director at Space TV.

In 2012, he founded "Artbakers Creative Agency". He has shot numerous commercials.

He hosted the "Persona" program broadcast on public television.

Since 2023, "Artbakers" has been operating as a production center and producing films.
