Nazim Shah was born in Fuzuli.

He studied at the Azim Azimzadeh Art School (1993) and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1997).

He has participated in international exhibitions since 1997. He has held solo exhibitions in Baku and Antalya, Turkey. His works are kept in private collections in Turkey, the USA, Iran, Belgium, Russia and France. He lived in Turkey for a while.
