Mikayil Azhdaroghlu (Mikayil Nasirov) was born in Baku.

He studied at the Department of Theater Collective Director of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1990-1995).

In 1975, he began working as a lighting engineer at the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee. Despite working as a lighting engineer at that time, he also worked as an assistant director and assistant director on programs.

Currently, he works as a director on Azerbaijani television.
