Matlab Safarli was born in Sumgayit.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1992-1996, Nasir Sadigzade's course).

While studying in the third year, he was invited to the Baku Chamber Theater and began working there.

Currently, he is an actor at the Sumgayit State Drama Theater.
