Mehriban Zaki was born in Baku.

She studied at the Drama and Film Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1991).

She worked as an actress at the Yugh State Theater (1990-2005), the National Academic Drama Theater (2005-2007), and the Ibrus Theater (2000-2011).

She currently works at the Azerbaijan State National Academic Drama Theater.

At the same time, she teaches in the Sabah groups at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art.

She played the role of Sultan Khanum in the British film “Ali and Nino” (2015, directed by Asif Kapadia).

She was awarded the "Best Theater Role" award for the mono-play "Khatun" at the "Novruz 93" Theater Festival (1993, Ashgabat), the "Best Narrator" award at the Jambul Jabayev Festival (1996, Alma-Ata), and the "Best Actress" award at the "East-West" Film Festival (2005, Baku) for the film "I Sprinkled Water on the Streets".
