Matanat Eres (Matanat Ahmadova / Matanat Ahmadova Eres) was born in Sumgayit.

She studied at the Faculty of Drama, Theater and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1993-1997).

She worked at the Ilham Miniature Theater for 16 years. She is an actress at the Azerbaijan State Shusha Drama Theater.

Actress Matanat Eres is the sister of producer and actress Malahat Ahmad.
