Matanat Atakishiyeva

Matanat Atakishiyeva was born in Baku.

She studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1983).

Since 1983, she has been accepted into the artistic staff of the Academic National Drama Theater.

She played the role of police wife Lucy in the German-made film “Absurdistan” (2008, directed by Veit Helmer) and in the film “The Bra” (2018).

She was awarded the “Humay” national award for her services to the theater field (2013). She is an Honored Artist (2002).
