Maharram Gurbanov was born in Ganja.

He studied at the Baku Cultural and Educational Technical School (1982) and the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1983-1988).

While studying in the 7th grade, he performed in the leading role in the drama club. In the 9th grade, he began his career at the People's Theater. In 1988, he began his career as an actor at the Ganja State Drama Theater. Since 1996, he has worked at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater.

Maharram Gurbanov died in 2019.
