Kamil Maharramov was born in Shamakhi. He moved to Baku with his family at a young age.
He enrolled in Lutfi Mammadbeyov's theater club. He was accepted to the Energy Technical School, but because he wanted to become an actor, he studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts.
He was assigned to the Sumgayit Theater.
On a cold October day in 1993, he fell asleep on the theater bus. The driver could not wake him up and left the bus door open so that he could get out whenever he woke up. He passed away there.
