Jafar Akhundzadeh was born in Baku.
He studied at the Science and Education Center Tafekkur University.
He lived in Moscow for 12 years and worked as a director at Weit Media and Rossiya TV channel. For a while he headed the Cinemaplus cinema chain (2016-2020).
Since 2016 he has been the general director of the Cinemazadeh studio.
