Jabrayil Azimov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azim Azimzade Art School (1941-1946) and the Art Faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1947-1953).
Since 1953, he has worked as a production designer at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio.
Honored Artist (1964) Jabrayil Azimov died in 1969.
Production designer Jabrayil Azimov was the husband of actress Tohfa Azimova.
