Igrar Salamov was born in the Babaratma village of Sheki.

He studied at the Vocal Department of the Baku Musical Gymnasium (1988), and at the Faculty of Musical Theater Acting of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1988-1993).

He worked as an actor at the Sheki State Drama Theater (1993-1995 / 2013-2019), Shusha State Musical Drama Theater (1996-2013).

Since 2019, he has been an actor at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater.

Laureate of the “Golden Dervish” award (2002), Honored Artist (2012).
