Ilham Rahimli

Ilham Rahimli was born in the village of Malbinasi, Yevlakh.
He studied at the Theater Studies Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1967-1972).
He started working at the “Kommunist” newspaper by appointment. In different years, he worked as a literary worker, chief correspondent, feuilleton and journalism, head of the culture departments. He worked as the editor-in-chief of the “Azerbaijan” newspaper (1991-1992), senior advisor in the Humanitarian Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1992-1993), head of the literary section of the Academic National Drama Theater (1993-2003), editor-in-chief of the Education editorial office of Azerbaijan Television (2007-2011), deputy director of the Culture channel (2001). Since 1975, he has been teaching at the Theater History Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. He is the author of hundreds of literary articles and books. He has been the host of various programs on television.
He is a laureate of the "Golden Pen" (1977), "Golden Dervish" (1992), "Humay" awards, "Artist" medal (2021), Honored Artist (1989), Doctor of Art History (1996), Associate Professor (1991), and Professor.
