Ilham Asgarov (Ilham Tavakkuloghlu) was born in the village of Khoshchobanly, Masalli.

He studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1976-1980, Adil Isgandarov's course).

Since 1982, he has been an actor of the Academic National Drama Theater.

He was one of the hosts of the famous radio program "Bulag".

Honored Artist (2000), People's Artist (2006) Ilham Askerov died in 2015 and was buried in his native village.
