Huseyn Arablinski (Huseynaga Khalafov) was born in Baku.

He studied at the Russian-Muslim school in Mollakhana. He first appeared on stage in 1897 in the comedy "The Vizier of the Khan of Lankaran" by Jahangir Zeynalov. In 1905, during the Lankaran tour of the "Society of Muslim Artists", he played the role of Fakhraddin (Najaf bey Vazirov's "Musibati-Fakhraddin") and became famous for it. He was an actor and director of the theater troupe under the Nijat Society (1906-1913), later the Safa Society, and the theater troupe of the Zulfugar and Uzeyir Hajibeyov brothers (since 1918). He was the first production director of the operetta "Leyli and Majnun". After he shaved his mustache to play a female role, his relationship with his family became somewhat strained.

Huseyn Arablinski was murdered in 1919. His grave is in the Alley of Honor.
