Gunel Hamidova was born in Baku.
She studied at the Asef Zeynalli Music College and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art, specializing in Musicology (2005-2009).
She began her acting career in 2011 at the Baku Children and Youth Theater. Since 2019, she has been an actress at the Baku Municipal Theater. She has been a presenter on various television channels.
