Gulshan Gurbanova was born in Baku. She studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1974). She began her career at the Young Spectators Theater and was an actor of this theater until the end of her life.

She was a presenter on Azerbaijani television, ANS and Lider TV.

Honored Artist (1989), People's Artist (1998) Gulshan Gurbanova died in 2006 and was buried at the Yasamal cemetery.
