Farhad Israfilov

Farhad Israfilov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Acting Faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) (1975-1979).
Since 1979, he has been working at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. Since 1989, he has been working at the “Yug” Theater.
He has starred in the films of foreign film producers “Lurix on the Stage” (1983, in the role of Mustafa’s companion, director Valentin Kuyk / Estonia), “Victory” (1984, in the role of Italian journalist Nino Rossi, director Yevgeny Matveyev / Russia, GDR), “The Interviewee” (1986, director Yuri Marukhin / Belarus), “The Most Important Mission” (1980, in the role of pilot Rustam, director Yevgeny Matveyev / Russia).
He is an associate professor at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, where he teaches acting.
Honored Artist (2006), laureate of the "Golden Dervish" award (2005). Awarded the "Progress" medal.
Actor Farhad Israfilov is the brother of art critic Israfil Israfilov.
Actor Farhad Israfilov is the father of makeup artist Eldar Israfilov.
