Emil Abdullayev was born in Baku.
He studied at Odlar Yurdu University (2006-2011) and at the 3D Academy in Turkey (2009-2011).
In 2011, he started working as a director at the M Group Production company and worked as a director of the humorous TV project “Bu da bu” broadcast on the ANS TV channel (2012-2014). Since 2014, he has been making films as an independent director.
