Elkhan Khanalizadeh was born in Fuzuli.

He studied at Baku State University (1997-2003, bachelor's and master's degrees), and at the European Union Eastern Partnership "Culture and Creative Writing" Program (2009).

He was an editor, scriptwriter and director of many projects at Azad Azerbaijan Television (2006-2011). His novel "Yol" has been published in Turkish, French and English and is currently on sale on international platforms.
