Elshad Arshadoghlu

Elshad Arshadoghlu (Elshad Aliyev / Elshad Elsever) was born in the village of Yaglivand, Fuzuli region. Since 1993, he has been living in the village of Gushenja, Ismayilli region, as an internally displaced person with his family. He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Baku State University (2004-2008, 2009-2011 masters). He graduated from the School of Young Writers.
He worked at the National Library of Azerbaijan (2008-2010). Since 2012, he has been working at the Ministry of Culture.
He began his artistic creativity in 1998. His first poem was published in the newspaper "Inam yolu" in 2002. Since then, he has been regularly appearing with his poems in newspapers, magazines and almanacs, as well as on literary internet portals around the country. His poems have been translated and published in Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkey. The poetry books "Yarsan menım ureyimi..." (2007), "Kelefin ucu" (2010), "Eshge dogru" (2014) have been published.
In addition to artistic creativity, he is also engaged in scientific activities, and his articles on the works of classics such as Nizami Ganjavi, Mahammad Fuzuli, Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh, and Huseyn Javid have been published in various scientific journals.
Since 2014, he has also been engaged in filmmaking. His short film "The Key - Acar" has been awarded awards at various international festivals.
He was the Chairman of the Youth Council of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union (2014-2019). Since 2014, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union.
He was awarded the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2011), the "Youth of the Year" award by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (2013), and the "For Distinction in Civil Service" medal (2023).
Director, screenwriter, and poet Elshad Arshadoghlu is the brother of producer Orkhan Aliyev and financial manager Jamal Aliyev.
