Elshan Hajibabayev was born in Baku. He studied at the Acting Faculty of the Baku Cultural Education Technical School (1994-1998), and at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (1998-2002, Jannat Salimova's course). Since 1999, he has worked at the Youth Theater. Since 2009, he has been an actor at the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators.
