Elshan Charhanli (Elshan Shiraliyev) was born in Baku.
He studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1983).
He worked at the Sumgayit State Drama Theater (1983-1989), the Azerbaijan State Youth Theater (1989-2009), and the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators (2009-2021).
Honored Artist (2018) Elshan Charhanli died in 2021.
