Ali Sultanov was born in Guba.

He studied directing at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (2007).

He worked as a cameraman at Khayal TV (1998-1999), “Servan” film company (2002), “Mozalan” studio (2003-2005), “Old city” production (2008-2019), “Baku Film” film studio (2009), “Debut” studio (2009-2013), “Ultra” production (2010-2012), “Salname” studio (2011-2012), “Od Media” production (2011-2019), “Iz Media Group” (2012-2019), “Yaddash” studio (2014-2015), “Azerbaijanflm” (2010-2019), and Space TV.

He has worked as a cameraman on music videos, commercials, and advertising projects for various TV channels and social media.
