Boris Grafkin was born in Baku.
He studied at the Asef Zeynalli Music School (1953).
In 1961, he was accepted into the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater as an artist-vocalist. He also directed performances. He is currently an actor of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater.
He was awarded the "Progress Medal" (2013) and the "Artist" medal of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan. He is an Honored Artist (2000).
