Badura Afganli (Badura Aghamalova) was born in Baku.
She studied at the Baku Pedagogical College (1929), at the graphics department of the Baku Art School (1931).
She worked as a production designer at the Ashgabat State Azerbaijan Musical Drama Theater (1934-1935), a designer and costume designer at the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater (1938-1960), and a costume designer at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio (since 1960).
She drew costume sketches for the performances of the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater, opera, dance ensemble and amateur artistic groups. Many of her works are kept in the Azerbaijan State Theater Museum and the A. Bakhrushin Central Theater Museum of Russia. She is one of the first Azerbaijani female theater artists.
Honored Artist (1949), People's Artist (1974) Badura Afganli died in 2002.
