Banovsha Mammadova was born in Nakhchivan.
She studied International Journalism at Baku State University (1990-1996).
She started working as a junior editor at Azerbaijan State Television (1993). She was the author of the cultural block in the “Week” program, the author and presenter of the “Incaşanet” art-information program (1995-2000) and the “Gozellik” philosophical-psychological program (2000-2005). Since 2005, she has been the editor of ITV. He was the author and host of the programs "Beauty" (2005-2007), "Symphony of Colors" (2010-2011), which talk about the life and artistic philosophy of artists, "Classical Music" (2015-2018), "Stars of World Music" about the life and work of Azerbaijani and European composers, and "Heritage" (2019) about the intangible cultural heritage included in UNESCO.
