Babek Huseynoghlu was born in the village of Ashagi Nejili, Zangibasar region, West Azerbaijan.
He studied at the Irevan State Pedagogical Institute.
He worked as a responsible secretary at the newspaper "Sovet Armenani", department head at Azerbaijani television, founder and editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Aydinlig" (1990-1993, 2004-2006), chairman of the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (1993-1996).
Babek Huseynoghlu died in 2006.
