Azer Mirzayev was born in Zardab. Due to his father's work, he moved with his family to Sabirabad district.
He studied at the film acting studio under "Azerbaijanfilm" (1968-1970), and at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1970-1974).
In 1974, he was assigned to the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators. He worked in this theater until the end of his life.
Honored Artist Azer Mirzayev died in 2014 and was buried in Sabirabad district.
