Ayan Mirgasimova (Ayan Mirgasim) was born in Baku. She studied at the Baku Choreographic School (1986), the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, specializing in film and theater acting (1986-1990, class of Alexei Batalov).

Since 1991, she has been an actress of the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater.

In addition to acting in the theater, she also teaches choreographic productions.

She also performed at the UNS Theater.

She teaches at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.

She starred in the film “Kichik” (1994, directed by Rano Kubayeva / Uzbekistan) by foreign filmmakers as Medina and in the TV series “Yellanjak” (2004, directed by Vyacheslav Nikiforov / Russia).

"Apofigey - 99" Theater Award in the Audience Choice nomination, "Best Actress" award at the 1st International Madrid Film Festival for the film "Another Time", "Kinoshock" award for "Best Actress", "Golden Lily" award at the 12th International Tashkent Film Festival, "Gorgipiya" award at the Open Film Festival of the CIS and Baltic States, "Humay" award winner, Honored Artist (2000), People's Artist (2017).

Actress Ayan Mirgasimova is the daughter of director Oktay Mir-Gasim.
